Brooding dark fruits fill the nose; think blackberry, satsuma plum, and cassis complemented by licorice and subtle middle eastern spice. 17/10- Dark chocolate, roasted beetroot, stewed cherries.
The palate is dense and powerful, without heaviness. A medium bodied framework – driven by a savoury, earthy tannin profile. Toasty French oak notes add complexity. A wine with excellent length and persistence.
Cellaring potential: Incredibly youthful, this wine could be enjoyed now - but will also reward those patient enough to cellar.
