Winery Manager
Greg Foster is Penley
Estate's winemaker and winery
manager, Greg comes to Penley with a large amount of winemaking
experience having returned from a stint in New Zealand's Hawkes Bay
region. Greg is a key man in assisting Kym Tolley with the task of
producing great wines of consistent quality. The cellarhands assure us
that they can train Greg out of New Zealand habits and back into kicking
a proper football again!!

General Manager
Jason Murray is
Penley Estate's general manager, dealing with the day to day running of
the company, his role also includes diverse area's as OH&S, HR,
information technology and various other functions. Jason surprisingly
has joined us from the mining industry with a degree in geology. He
spent the previous 5 years working in Tanzania, in a position which
demanded that he build and develop his administration skills as
management of relatively large operations (in excess of 120 staff)
became a priority. He is now happy to be at home with wife Paula and
working in such an exciting industry.

Cellar Door Sales
Simmone (Sam) Flint
is Penley Estate's cellar door sales supervisor and Coonawarra office
assistant. Sam comes to Penley Estate from another Coonawarra winery
and brings both experience in administrative areas and cellar door
sales, she also has studied wine marketing externally which no doubt
will also add a dimension to this role. She has wine in her blood,
originating from the Barossa in South Australia.

Accountant
Sonja Cherney is Penley Estate’s accountant and joined us from Greening
SA. Sonja, who has an Advanced Diploma in Accounting works from the
Norwood Administration office and is responsible for the accounts
payable and receivable as well as remunerating employees and submitting
statutory returns. Although busy learning the in’s and out’s of the wine
industry and figuring out which wine is her favourite Sonja still finds
time for a good book and her adorable cats.

Marketing Assistant
Lisa
Sandell is Penley Estate’s marketing assistant and is responsible for
organising and coordinating Penley Estate’s marketing activities,
overseeing export orders as well as organising Kym Tolley’s sales trips
throughout Australia and Internationally. Lisa has an Advanced Diploma
in Marketing and is currently working towards a Degree in Marketing &
International Business.

Contract
Vineyard Manager
Michael Wetherall is Penley Estate’s contract vineyard manager and is
responsible for ensuring that Penley Estate’s vineyards continue to
produce grapes of the highest quality to meet Penley’s current and
future winemaking programs. Michael has a degree in Viticulture from
Roseworthy College.

Vineyard
Supervisor
Paul
O’Connell is Penley Estate’s vineyard supervisor who is responsible for
the ongoing supervision of the vineyard. This includes coordinating work
programs to ensure vintage intake is up to Penley’s high standards. Paul
is currently undertaking further studies in Viticulture.
